Report on IIR Innovation Research Workshop 2023

IIR Innovation Research Workshop was held at Sano-shoin Hall, Hitotsubashi University and online on August 28 & 29, 2023.

The purpose of this IIR Innovation Research Workshop is to promote innovation research by building researcher networks, offering a place for presenting the latest research results, and supporting young researchers.

This year, a total of 13 presentations were made (All presentations were in English).

We are honored to welcome Prof. Seiichiro Yonekura (Professor Emeritus of Hitotsubashi University / Professor of Graduate School of Innovation Management, Hosei University / President of Creative Response Social Innovation School) as our guest speaker.

The Best Presentation Award was awarded to Yusaku Takeda, Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Gies College of Business, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
The title of his presentation was “Innovation as Catalyst for Greater Diversity: A Mixed-Methods Study of E-Commerce Adoption in US Retail”.

This year’s IIR Innovation Research Workshop, hybrid event with on-site and online delivery, was well received. The participants were wide ranging from graduate students to researchers and business practitioners. We thank them all for their participation.
